Player`s review Aced Poker

You're Aced in the Hole

Aced.com, with its slick, black layout and the picture of Jamie Gold benignly smiling at you, slightly crouched with a pair of pocket bullets staring you in the face, bills itself in much the same way that it looks: Aced.com purports itself to be the newest, slickest, coolest poker site currently running and promises to be one of the next big sites for newbies and pros alike to play online.

The site features a handful of tricks and goodies that I haven't seen on many other sites, including a merit system it calls Outs (that gives you a merit in-house account for merchandise, etc. after winning certain hands or getting certain levels in your account.) The site offers a taunting Expose 1 Card feature, which can be kind of nice for a psychological edge, especially with the limitations placed in the head game in internet-based play.

The feature is pretty self explanatory, but I'll help those of you who can't imagine it already out a little; the feature allows for a player, when pressuring another to make a decision on a call, to expose on e of his cards. While some more straight-laced players might find the option a little improper, I totally invite you to go on a site without it. The feature that I'm a little leery about is called Deal It Twice, which is essentially a protective measure for people who go all-in recklessly. Let's see how long THAT feature flies for the real rounders left out there.

As far as I'm concerned, all-in protection is in and of itself a soft-padded way to keep loose players in the system, and if you're one of those, you probably shouldn't be playing a whole lot anyway. Tech support for Aced.com is 24/7 with a special chat feature for those of you lucky enough (read: players outside of the US) who are able to play for real money on the site. The tables have an attractive, sleek design and the game selection includes most popular poker games (including H.O.R.S.E., Stud, Omaha and even Draw, aside from the reliable Hold 'em, both in limit and No Limit tables.)

They've also got a few games aside from poker that are worth checking out. Beyond a variety of poker cash and tournament options, the team at Aced.com even offer backgammon, blackjack, and the Midwest favorite, euchre, for all players. This way you can go and cool off after you get yourself sucked out of that last major pot, just before you were going to bed. Play a round of Euchre, drink a cup of coffee, and get back to the game!
