The poker portion of the site is only one component, though: they offer sports betting, full casino software with blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and more, as well as exchange game and arcade sections for those who are looking for more casual styles of play. Bet Fair serves countries around the world, though it excludes those of us in the dear old U S of A from real money play because neither the government nor the Cosa Nostra have figured out good ways to track their cuts off of the money exchanging hands here. Launched in 2000, BetFair.com has built itself up to around a million clients worldwide and has displayed every indication that it will be around supplying gambling needs for years to come. A site like this could very easily serve as a hub for those of you in Canada and the UK who like to bet on American sports, by the way. This should be particularly good for Canadian players, as one of the sports featured on the site is NBA Basketball, and all of the Vancouver and Toronto fans can bet on their favorite teams, while those of us “down south” here are relegated to doing all of our sports betting in private. Because of their more comprehensive concept, of course, there have been quite a few online gamblers over the years who use Betfair as a steady source of gaming and, as such, would be a better source of information that I could be on the specifics as I'm excluded from most of the playing options. The folks at BetFair have the standard 24 hour tech support available. The only drawback, it seems, is that because the site merely manages monies that go through it and allow for bets to be made player-to-player rather than player-to-bookmaker, so they shave a little more off of the top in transaction processing than other sites. A good bettor can make up for that, though, by diversifying the way in which he bets. I wouldn't personally use the site for too much poker directly, but easily as an over-all betting or casino site. The interface is attractive and easy to use, the transaction processing straigh forward, and the support staff professional. BetFair.com has earned its place in the online gambling community through consistent player satisfaction and interaction and a vbariety of games that are unparallleled by most sites currently in operation. |
