This Canadian site changed its name from Poker.com to Carbon Poker back in '05, and have thankfully kept the doors open for us despite the prudish insistence of some sites to ban US game play. That's possibly due to the fact that the site lives in Canada and, as such, sdon't want to start a South Park war over some stupid online poker laws. In any event, I'm not suggesting that those of you in places where it's still illegal to gamble to go and start sloshing around a whole lot of money on carbon poker; I'm just grateful that our friends to the Nroth have the decency not to limit our choices in places to play. Even before download, the site has a decent, clear lay-out that details their features, their support situation, and their game play options. And let me say this: carbon poker not only has a wide array of poker games including both Limit and No-Limit versions of Hold'em and Omaha, as well as Stud, Razz, 5-Card Draw of all things, a popular Korean draw variation called Triple Draw, and to top that all off, full and thorough descriptions and play money versions of all of them. If you tired of playing poker directly (and for those of you for whom this applies, I do pity you more than a little,) the folks at carbon Poker have provided us with a handful of casino games like Black Jack, Roulette, and even Euchre and Backgammon.
