Player`s review Celeb Poker

Sit in at CD Poker CD Poker, a member of the iPoker network and one of its most popular rooms, is home to a fast and loose set of players and features my personal favorite part of any poker site, the Sit-N-Go Tournament. Say what you will about how tournament play actually harms a player's fundamentals and how the chip system used in tournaments ruins a player's sense of value in chips. It doesn't matter to me, and it doesn't matter to the folks at CD, and I think them for it heartily. Tournament play takes a little more patience than cash games and requires a completely different strategy than waiting at a table till a fish decides to make a silly move.

And with Sit-N-Go, those of us itching to play at a tournament right away are given almost immediate satisfaction. It also helps that, since CD Poker usually brings in casino players rather than dyed-in-the-wool rounders, the play tend to be fast and loose. That means that winning tournaments is easier, as the patient player tends to come out better off in these juicy, impulse-driven poker games.

Games included are Hold'em, Omaha and Seven-Card Stud Hi, Omaha Hi-Lo and Five-Card Draw. Aside from the Sit-N-Go tournaments, of course, they offer full ring games, multi-table tourneys, and Heads-up tables as well. The Heads-Up tables are bouncing off of the walls, too, as people eliminated early from a Sit-N-Go will go to those heads-up tourneys trying to make back the money they lost on the bigger tourney tables.

But a frustrated player is almost always a vulnerable player, and even the fiercest shark in the tank is vulnerable during Heads-Up play. So if you're needing some quick cash, chances are good that you can make most of that up on the Heads-up tables, They offer round-the clock e-mail and phone support. The tables have a decent (if rather plain) look, and while game play and interface is sometimes on the slow side, ti's always easy to get around. Also of note is their VIP program, which offers a handful of nice incentives for regular players there. From the way that our experience there went, we're not sure whether we won't be one of those VIPS before long. Happy hunting, boys and girls.
