Player`s review Fortune Poker
Like most of the poker sites notorious for being fish fries, Fortune Poker invites all but US players to their tables. It's another terrible, awful shame because the site really does have quite a bit going for it. During peak times they have about 6000 players running through it on a wide variety of tables, including Limit, No-Limit, and Pot Limit games in Omaha and Hold 'em, as well as fully running (and usually at least partially full) 7 Stud and 5-card Draw games. The software runs smoothly and simply, their 24-hour support staff is friendly and accessible through a quickly responsive e-mailing staff, and you can run multiple tables at once through the server. Did I mention that the site was FULL OF FISH? You Euro players really do have the cream of the crop when it comes to online poker play, primarily because when we US players sit down to play poker online anymore, the fish we end up eating only feed us in bragging rights, and you guys actually get to eat other food off of what you earn from them. Of course, to the fish that are out there reading this: don't worry. The longer you play and feed players who know what they're doing, the more likely you will be to shed those little fins and upgrade to bigger ones. For the sharks out there, try not to get too greedy when you're coming into sites like these. Yes, it's qquite true that sites like these are hard to leave, but it's also true that the longer any of you decide to sit at these places, the more times you'll run into each other and the benefit of a site like this will be lost. Some sites offer ridiculous re-buys to get their fish in the doors, in which case the sharks keep on coming through as well. The key, though, is to get to these sites that aren't already saturated before the more beautiful pots disappear. As the word gets out about more and more of these sites full of fishy, loose, soft players, the more of the tight aggressive players show up and ruin the cash cows for the rest of us. Luckily there are those like Fortune-- with a consistently high level of traffic-- that will keep them coming in. These sites will keep doing so as long as the incentive programs they run are as sweet as Fortunes and, of course, as long as long-winded reviewers like us are kept to a minimum. |
