Player`s review Paradise Poker

This Close to Paradise Poker

I first played Paradise Poker back in 2002, when it was a relatively new site and before the SNAFU with US credit cards ripped it from US play. Even then, though, I was barely impressed: the p[play was slow, the competition, while soft, was so erratic that it was difficult to find any rhythm, and the caliber and attitude of the players waffled between juvenile to obscene. I'm sure that now, though, since they've done away with us vulgar and snotty little Yanks, that the demeanor of the players has gotten better. The folks at Paradise have been around in the online poker business since before it got so insanely popular, though, and for their longevity alone they deserve a massive amount of respect.

They're one of the first sites to support Poker Tracker, and have only very recently switched from their original network to a different network. That doesn't mean, though, that their players have gotten any better. This is still a fast, loose, sloppy set of playrs all of whom are begging to be taken out by those who know better. The irritation I felt at playing Paradise when I was younger is all gone now, as I'm beginning to see more and more that however foolish the players are, the better for me. And so it should go for you: paradise has kept, to a large extent, the nature of their games. The structure is the same as it always was, with pretty enticing sign-ups and a name that's highly recognizable, and (I don't know why really, perhaps because “Paradise” sound a little like “Party”) the same sort of players. Fine. Let them come with their credit cards and NETTeller and Click2Pay accounts open and ready. As long as they sit at tables where I'm going to play, that means that my account will be fatter by the end of the session.

Wait. I won't be able to enjoy it because I'm in the States. Ah well. I guess that means there will be more for you, huh?

Oh, and one last thing aobut Paradise, one thing that HAS changed since I was able to play there: the site's support staff is not only multilingual (when I played there they only had English support staff,) but as friendly as their players are juicy and prompt as the transactions those same players funnel into our accounts. This is a little bit of an “easy kill” sort of a site, but there's always action there and there are always live games going on. It's not exactly the garden of Eden, but it's pretty darn nice.
